The Global Cycling Event is Promoted with War-Like Imagery Based on Location

The Martin Agency created these unique posters for the Global Cycling Event, which takes place in Richmond Virginia. The posters are staged like the Civil War which had multiple battles take place in the same location as the Global Cycling Event.

The posters are authentic through the use of black and white pencil-drawn characters. Each poster features a clan of cyclists that look as though they are charging into battle. There is even a humorous aspect to the images as one picture shows a man who has fallen off his bike being trampled by the other cyclists -- after all war can't stop for one casualty.

On a serious note, the images prove to be a highly creative way to incorporate the location with the particular event.
