Like an oversized curiosity box, the Curio Table puts favorite objects on display. Great for many reasons, namely nostalgia, decor and even playfulness, by putting certain objects on display, people are able to better personalize the space that they live in aside from the typical home items such as pillows, vases, picture frames and more.
The Curio Table was designed by De Intuïtiefabriek, a studio based in The Netherlands. A mix of walnut wood, copper and smoke glass, it is comprised of three deep drawers that hold those cherished belongings. The smoke glass then encases the drawers to keep them protected from everyday wear and tear while providing a misty view of the stored items. Only a limited run of the Curio Table was produced. Seven were made, plus the prototype.
