We have all seen the pink ribbons that remind us about breast cancer. Now Avie Products has developed a product that is a partner in breast health: the Cue breast exam reminder.
Cue is a waterproof, electronic device that contains a self-exam reminder, a clock, a timer (so you also know when your conditioner has been in your hair for a minute), a doctor’s visit reminder, and more. It’s intended to be mounted in the shower/bath so that breasts can be examined in privacy--as well as with soapy hands so that there is less friction during the process.
Once the physical exam is complete, the woman should do a visual exam in a mirror as well.
This is a slick use of technology that when used in conjunction with other types of clinical imaging exams will only help women find breast cancers earlier when they’re most successfully treatable.
