CrowdLobby Will Allow Crowdfunding Campaigns to Get a Lobbyist

CrowdLobby is a new startup that will allow people to donate to crowdfunding campaigns in order to secure a lobbyist. The startup is doing an initial release with three different crowdfunding campaigns that people can donate to. All of the three campaigns are in Virginia and they range from marijuana decriminalization to increased funding for students. CrowdLobby hopes to add crowdfunding campaigns to more stages by 2020.

A general target for campaigns is $50,000 in order to begin to influence State level politics. CrowdLobby also takes a 25% cut due to ongoing organizational efforts with lobbyists.

The CrowdLobby platform could allow for more people to be able to support causes with low investment and generally allow more people to take part in the political process.
