Gold Maggots

Creepy Taxidermy and Embellishments Added To Pimp Stuffed Animals

A London-based designer, Kelly McCallum, created an art collection inspired by Victorian taxidermy, with designs such as beetle rings.

Adding her unique touch, Kelly then adds a hint of glamour to the dead animals with metals, jewels and other natural objects to give her own flare to this age old skill.

Some particularly notable pieces include the gold maggots in the fox ears and the pearls on the front of the pigeon. Gloriously macabre.

Implications - This product is very fitting for the recent shift in what buyers wish to see. The presence of taxidermy and other peculiar items is something that consumers are looking for. Corporations can profit by producing goods that contain the same type of shocking material that appeals to the greater audience of purchasers.
