Craigconnects Helps Connect and Protect Nonprofit Organizations

The founder of Craigslist Craig Newmark has launched a new site called Craigconnects.

With a name like Craigconnects, one may assume that it's a person-seeking service commonly seen on Craigslist, but it's not -- it's not a grant-giving organization either. The sole purpose of the site is to help nonprofit and public service organizations. Through this new-found project, Newmark hopes to support sustainable efforts as well as help protect and connect various goodwill organizations for the greater good. Each organization is endorsed, then featured on the website, so that people can be more aware of goodwill services that are out there.

Craigconnects is the complete opposite of Craigslist. So far, it sounds like a solid idea that will bring awareness to the public. The website is still extremely new but it'd be nice to see how it evolves.
