Outlandish Knit Fashion Runways

JW Anderson's SS20 is a Daring Display of Fluid and Crafty Fashion

The spirit of crafty fashion and DIY lives through on the runway as JW Anderson debuts his menswear and womenswear offerings for the Spring/Summer 2020 season.

The presentation is rich both in colors and in textures. The silhouettes are vaguely uniform as knit crown hats, slouchy tops with cut-out ribs, and pullovers with tassels pierce through the traditional. With these garments, the designer wanted to take the style in the direction of crafty fashion that is "more refined and artful." In doing so, JW Anderson also disrupts the generational barrier of knitwear, moving it to a more contemporary light.

Fitting the aesthetics of the crafty fashion, the SPring/Summer 2020 collection was debuted at the Lafayette Anticipations in Paris.
