The Vogue Italia Couture Allure Editorial Echoes Decades Past

The Vogue Italia Couture Allure photoshoot is currently on display in the magazine's March 2013 issue. Models Mariacarla Boscono, Malgosia Bela, and Guinevere Van Seenus are displayed in the shyest of manners in the production, often hidden behind shadows and wall posts.

Photographer Paolo Roversi captured this historic Vogue Italia set. He did so with the help of stylist Panos Yiapanis who dressed Boscono, Bela and Van Seenus in luxurious apparel, all of whom were clad head to toe in ball gowns, flowing layers of silk and ruffled lace pieces. Roversi delivered a mysterious vibe to readers as he revealed his preference for minimalist lighting, casting the women in dark shading only. He nonetheless managed to reveal detail in each shot.
