Paint-Cracking White Sneakers

The Converse Maison Martin Margiela Shoes Have White Overpaint

The Converse Maison Martin Margiela First String sneaker collection is the result of a collaboration between Nike-owned Converse Inc. and French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela.

At first glance, the shoes are painted in pure white. However this is just an overpaint which cracks over time to reveal elegant cracks showing the hidden, bold color beneath the overpaint. The revealed paints come in four different styles -- Amber Glow, True Navy (with the Converse All Star Chuck '70) and Azure Blue and Biking Red (with the Converse Jack Purcell). The sneakers feature the ultra-discreet Maison Martin Margiela logo on the tongue.

The sneakers are covered in beautiful, buttery leather which transforms their interior and exterior for maximum comfort and luxury, white hand-painted upper conveys the minimalist beauty and silhouette of the shoes.
