Flipboard Launches the New Storyboards Content Format

Flipboard created a new content format named Storyboards. The Storyboards content feature allows publishers to create a collection of articles, video content, podcasts, tweets, as well as other media formats. This allows publishers to convey information through different formats in an aesthetically pleasing way.

TheGrio has been beta testing the Storyboards feature, by complying coverage surrounding George Floyd and the protests that followed. National Geographic also tested Storyboards, through a curated list of new and old stories presented together.

Mike McCue the COE of Flipboard spoke about the new feature and the reason for creating it, "curated commerce is something that will probably play more and more of a significant role in our revenue."
