Bizarre Videography Monuments

'Concept of the Intermediate' Artsy Video by Avant / Guarde Diaries

'Concept of the Intermediate' is a leading example of using resources to create something never seen before. German photographers Ina Schoof and Ana Baumgart created this project in the Sahara Desert, Morocco on the whim that the human race has covered such an extensive amount of Mother Nature that there is practically nothing left to find. Of course, critics will argue such a debate-worthy; however, one cannot find reason to vote against the emotion and understanding of human perception that the two artists have displayed in the Concept of the Intermediate.

Since there is not much left to the unknown, Schoof and Baumgart decided to create oddities to catch the eye. The vast expansion that is the Sahara Desert can quickly become a bland sheet of color with minimal movement. Therefore, the artists created a hand-knotted fishing net (colored white) to sit on the sands of the desert. Who would need a fishing net in one of the driest places on Earth? Exactly.
