Wide-View Concept Aircraft

The Micronautix Triton Gives Passengers a Front Seat View

The Micronautix Triton is a concept aircraft that is designed so passengers can enjoy the same full-on front view of the world that pilots enjoy. Passenger aircraft windows only give you a very limited view of the world around you, and one that pales in comparison to the sights pilots can behold.

The eccentric design situates the cockpit in a central fuselage -- however each wing features its own passenger pod with a panoramic front window. Each front passenger seat also has a tandem seat behind it that doesn't offer the full frontal view.

Micronautix, the design firm that developed this concept aircraft, believes it will take $60 million to engineer, manufacture and certify the Triton. It's a really interesting concept, and I for one would totally be down for a ride on a wing-attached pod with a panoramic view.
