Designed like a massive flow chart, the 'Who Runs the Internet' infographic breaks up the world of the Internet by operations/services, polices/standards, open debate and multistakeholders to show how how the Internet is controlled and what corporations are in charge of what is released onto the Internet. To the surprise of many, one singular computer network doesn't run the Internet. Instead, as ICANN expertly shows through visual charts and graphics, the Internet is made up of a number of coporations from private sectors, civil groups, governments, researchers and national organizations that each play a vital part in running the Internet.
