Ethique's Lip Balms are Made with Naturally Derived, Plant-Based Ingredients

For World Oceans Day, Ethique launched plastic-free, compostable lip balms that are made with only fair trade, sustainably sourced and plant-based ingredients. The lip balms themselves are made with ingredients like cocoa butter and jojoba oil sourced directly from local farming cooperatives in Rwanda, Ghana and Samoa. Packaged in 100% home-compostable tubes, the nourishing lip balm products are available in varieties like pink grapefruit and vanilla; cooling peppermint; decadent chocolate and even tinted sticks.

These eco-friendly lip balms help to address the fact that almost 200 million lip balm tubes are sent to the landfill every year and most of them are never recycled. At the end of its usable life, the product packaging can be added to a flower pot or garden soil, where it will naturally break down and support new life.
