Video Platform Profile Cards

YouTube is Testing a Feature That Displays a User's Comment History

YouTube is testing a feature that shows a user's comment history using profile cards. The comment history display feature was announced by YouTube Creator Insider channel, which distributes relevant updates about the platform. Users will now be able to click on another user's name and be able to see a profile card that displays previous comments. Comments that will be displayed will be limited to recent comments made in the last 12 months.

The YouTube Director of Product Management, Tom Leung spoke on the new feature by saying, "We hope that it will strengthen connections with others in the YouTube community and will help creators recognize some of their best commenters,".

Displaying another user's comment history could help sort through spam comments made on the platform.
