Otter Products' 'closed2open' Day Inspires Kids to Change the World

Otter Products, the maker of OtterBox and LifeProof products, has announced that it will be pausing all operations on February 15 for 'closed2open', a charity initiative devoted to inspiring kids to make meaningful change in the world. During the day, Otter Products' employees will be sent out to communities to volunteer with organizations partnering with the OtterCares Foundation, Otter Products' charitable arm.

This years' closed2open is the company's second, with last year's inaugural event contributing 4,650 volunteer hours across the entire company. These hours went to more than 100 nonprofits and schools. This year, 25 Otter Products employees will be stationed at Best Buy's Teen Tech centers, where they'll be helping teens develop technological skills through hands-on activities and project-based learning.

To pledge volunteer hours, those interested can visit the closed2open page online.
