Stationery-Imitating Totes

The Whimsical Clip Bag Assumes the Form of a Magnified Paperclip

If the Clip Bag were to be photographed without additional objects that give it physical and dimensional context, most people would be boggled to learn that it isn't actually a stationery item. Designed by Peter Bristol, this iconic purse is modeled on one of those clasps that you use to hold thicker stacks of paper together. It mimics it closely though form and color.

Even though wool felt is used to made the body of the handbag, its soft and matte appearance seems to conceal its texture when the Clip Bag is seen at a distance. The straps, however, have been manufactured from aluminum tubing and do emulate the exact shape and shiny silver surface as do those that can be seen in your desk drawer.
