Adidas' Climachill Fabric Keeps Athletes Cool and Comfortable

Climachill is a fabric manufactured by Adidas that uses cooling technology to keep athletes comfortable during heated training sessions.

The Climachill fabric delivers an instant cooling effect thanks to its unique mix of 3D aluminum cooling spheres and titanium-blended yarn. The 3D spheres are mapped to correspond to the body's most heat-vulnerable zones and keeps their temperature down. Meanwhile, the use of titanium-blended 'SubZero' yarn delivers a 36% increase in cooling capacity compared to Adidas' old Climacool fabric.

In order to isolate the best Climachill fabric, Adidas tested numerous fabric blends in its special 'Clima' chamber, exposing them to temperatures as high as 50 degrees Centigrade. The resulting cooling apparel includes training, tennis and outdoor wear available in men's, women's and children's sizes.
