Green Tech Matchmakers

This United Nations Organization Helps Countries with Clean Technology

Described as a matchmaker of clean technology, the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) is helping countries keep the promises they made at the recent climate change conference in Paris. The historic COP21 saw ambitious commitments from states across the globe in an effort to establish more environmentally sustainable practices. The UNFCCC's operational arm is matching states even outside of the proceedings with clean technology solutions to get there.

Finnish diplomat Jukka Uosukainen explains the CTCN's functions as "eHarmony meets the Butterball Thanksgiving helpline -- for clean technology." More than 40 nation states have submitted requests thus far on the green tech matchmaking platform. From flood management to waste disposal, CTCN can help leaders find more eco-friendly answers to pressing problems.
