Garbage Bag Runways

The Christopher Shannon AW15 Runway Features Plastic Bags Over Model's Heads

The Christopher Shannon AW15 runway show did not disappoint this year. Held during the London Collections: Men fashion week, LCM for short, the plastic bag runway made for an Instagram frenzy. Models for the Christopher Shannon AW15 were outfitted in rubbish bin liners over their heads as they strutted down the runway. Not your typical garbage bags, the liners came in blue, orange, black and red.

Head makeup artist Ismaya Ffrench was the genius behind the rubbish bin heads. This was her second time impressing the men's fashion world, as Ffrench was recently the head makeup artist for the Lego-clad faces from Agi & Sam AW15. There is an increasing amount of abstract makeup and makeup substitutes, happening on the men's runways for the AW15 collections.
