Ocean-Inspired Shift Dresses

The Christopher Kane Spring 2012 Collection is Seaside Chic

There is something incredibly refreshing about the Christopher Kane Spring 2012 collection. Full of shift dresses in deep blue prints, sheen metallics, and adorned with origami-inspired details, the presentation was as much about comfort as it was about style.

Flat sandals adorned the feet of each model, a trend that has been popping up more and more in the past few seasons (much to my dismay). The sportswear-inspired cuts of the dresses and almost orthopedic style shoes were offset (thankfully) by luxurious prints and fabrics.

Interesting, unexpected cut-outs were also a highlight of the Christopher Kane Spring 2012 collection, adding a much needed edge and touch of glamor to the collection.

With a line full of icy blues and crisp white shades, the Christopher Kane Spring 2012 collection is sure to show up time and time again in magazine spreads this upcoming season.
