The Chinon 'Legato CH-PS840' Has a Retro Look

The Chinon 'Legato CH-PS840' is a dock for one's iPhone that naturally amplifies the phones sound. As such it does not use any electricity to work, but instead channels the sound waves in a certain way that allows the music to come across louder than it would just emanating straight from the phone.

According to DesignBoom, "Chinon experimented with the length, the mouth to drive unit ratio, the compression and the flare of the mouth in order to produce the ideal, calming climate music volume." Basically the company worked in every way they could to ensure that the sound was just right without the need of an extra bit of power boost. Moreover the design will look great in one's living room as it takes on a retro feel like something one would see from the 50s. Photo Credits: designboom, chinonshop
