Chewy Introduces Online Market Place for Vets Called 'Practice Hub'

Online pet product retailer Chewy has announced the launch of 'Practice Hub,' an online marketplace designed exclusively for veterinarians with the aim of streamlining pharmacy operations and helping clinics grow their revenues.

'Practice Hub' will provide vets with faster online delivery, as well as the ability to pre-arrange food and medication drop-offs according to a specific schedule. When using the platform, vets will also have the option to set prices and generate pre-approved prescriptions, allowing them to produce revenue whenever pet owners order their items from Chewy.com.

Chewy hopes that the new platform, which will be featured at the top of its website -- and therefore viewed by millions of customers -- will allow pet owners to more easily find veterinary care. "Enrolling in this service is a win for our staff, our clients, and their pets," said the chief medical officer at Destination Pet, Matthew Dobbs.
