McDonald's is Offering Chicken Meals Made Without Chemical Additives

McDonald's might be one of the most globally recognized fast food brands, and the fast casual eatery is making an effort to improve the quality of its meat products by offering preservative-free foods that are made without chemical additives. The chicken nuggets produced by the chain will be made with healthier and less processed ingredients to offer a more wholesome take on a fast food staple.

The McDonald's chicken nuggets are one of the more popular meals offered by the brand, that is now offering a healthier version of the recipe in time for the Summer 2016 Olympics. The poultry product will include more recognizable ingredients such as lemon juice and rice starch in place of chemical additives.

Currently the food initiative is being tested out in Portland, Oregon and will soon expand to other McDonald's locations in North America, and potentially the world.
