'Skedaddle' is a new transit service that helps make the process of chartering a bus simpler and more efficient. The company was founded by Adam Nestler after he noticed how expensive and time consuming it can be to organize bus transportation. To combat this issue, Nestler decided to organize a form of pop-up mass transit.
Skedaddle operates just like a traditional bus service, but with the additional option for users to design custom routes. By using the company website, users anywhere in the United States can organize a customized bus route. However, these custom routes will only run if at least 15 other people also join the route. Skedaddle will then handle the complex logistics of chartering a bus for each customized journey.
While the service is fairly new, Nestler says that he is already seeing as many as 50 routes successfully created every couple of weeks. The service is particularly useful for students planning trips and large corporate outings.
