Chaayos is a modern interpretation of Indian tea rooms (known as chai adda) that hopes to replace transnational coffee chains with their contemporary take on heritage-honoring cafes. They also recently began on-demand services at two of their stores.
With 16 locations in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, Chaayos specifically serves a kind of chai tea called Meri Waali Chai. A dozen add-ons are available -- such as green chilis, cardamom and black pepper -- with the option of extra strong chai, black tea with lemon or more milk, less water. The chai cafe also serves classic teas, specialty teas, shakes and sandwiches.
