GM Will Help Customers Get a Certified Home Charger

General Motors will now help its electric vehicle customers to obtain a certified home charger. Chevy electric vehicle owners are now able to access the Chevrolet Charging Page, from there customers can search to find certifed home charger installers. Customers can fill in information pertaining to their home and can then receive a quote to compare with others. Users are also able to obtain contact information from the website, in order to set up installation.

The new feature was possible through a partnership with Qmerit, and Chevy is hopeful the initiative will allow more people to switch to electric vehicles. This is because installing at-home charging was previously seen as a reason to not own an electric car, but with the new website, it may make adopting the technology easier.
