Persian Calligraphy Dishes

These Ceramic Dishes are Inspired by the Nastaliq Written Language

Hozan Zangana is a designer that has put together a line of elegant ceramic dishes grounded in heritage and culture. The collection takes its design inspiration from the Persian scripture Nastaliq giving the dishes a beautifully antiquated look.

In honor of the New Years tradition of Haft Sin and the table laying of items that begin with the letter S, Zangana designed her own line of ceramic dishware inspired by the penmanship in Persian writing. The set features nine pieces in a variety of grey, white and brown colorways. Each piece is designed with a curved aesthetic and to be used to hold a variety of sized foods in honor of the celebration. The cultural inspiration behind the dishes allows it to be used beyond celebratory occasions.
