Celebrity Cruises Launches the First Digital Cruise Ship Experience

Celebrity Cruises is introducing its first virtual reality experience entitled the ‘Wonderverse.’ With this experience, travelers will be able to view their cruise ship in a 3D atmosphere using Celebrity’s Edge Series, ‘Celebrity Beyond.’ ‘Wonderverse’ was developed in collaboration with virtual event platform designers Surreal Events and is available online with various mini-games and activities, entertainment, easter eggs, and other features.

Interactive content featured on the website includes ‘The Magic Carpet,’ ‘The Grand Plaza,’ ‘The Resort Deck,’ and the ‘Sunset Bar.’ Celebrity Beyond goes beyond what was previously thought feasible for a cruise ship, providing passengers with many possibilities to disengage from the ordinary while exploring the world's wonders. The company’s take on the metaverse has proven to be equally functional and unique.

"The Wonderverse allows us to unlock and bring to life the richness and fullness of the Celebrity experience in really exciting ways we can't do through traditional marketing and advertising vehicles. We believe this has opportunities to expand even further, creating experiences our consumers are looking for," said Celebrity Cruises' Chief Marketing Officer Michael Scheiner.
