The Cecelia Webber 'Butterfly' Series is Bright and Precise

Photographer Cecelia Webber has yet again created a unique splash with her 'Butterfly' series.

The series uses humans to create the shapes of different stages of the life of a butterfly (just as her previous 'Flowers' series does similarly). Cecelia Webber creates these images through photographing the form of the body. Sometimes Webber uses herself, making this photographic series self-portraits in a sense. Then utilizing digital enhancement to change the color and rotate the photos, Webber creates beautiful patterns and details to form the image.

Webber states, "The most difficult part is orchestrating the relationships between the different poses, and thinking of the human body as a three dimensional object collapsed into a 2D plane to form a shape."

The images are aptly titled according to the design, such as 'Monarch,' 'Vivid' and 'Reach.' Currently, Cecelia Webber's Butterfly series is on display at the Milan Gallery in Fort Worth, Texas and available for purchase.Photo Credits: designboom, ceceliawebber
