'Bloom' is a line of cashmere wool blankets inspired by shapes more commonly seen in origami paper creations. The blankets are the brainchild of Barcelona-based designer Bianca Cheng Costanzo.
Costanzo has been an avid origami enthusiast since childhood. While playing around with a tetrahedron-filled origami creation, she wondered if the same shape could be recreated using softer material. Soon, the Bloom blanket was born.
The blanket consists of fluffy tetrahedron folds inspired by the tetrahedron shapes commonly seen in origami. It uses the highest quality Italian wool cashmere and no synthetic materials. The use of wool means that the blanket's tetrahedrons retain their shape without needing to be stuffed. This makes the blanket incredibly soft, fluffy and light.
The blanket comes in white or gray, but can be customized with different colors and tetrahedron sizes.
