Earth-Friendly Tequila Production

Casa Herradura of Mexico Remains Dedicated to Sustainability

Legendary Mexican tequila brand Casa Herradura is dedicated to sustainable practices with its commitment to several eco-friendly facets in the production of its liquor. Herredura has a substantial wastewaster filtration and recycling system for the treatment of 100 percent of the wastewaster produced during the manufacturing of the tequila, including a second system to treat the water from the staff facilities, then used on the plants and lawns.

Additionally, installations and new strategies for renewable composting and renewable energy are relied on for providing 12 percent of the energy needed for production, for example. Another example of the 142-year-old brand’s attempts to perpetuate sustainability is its comprehensive recycling efforts, which ensure all materials are separated and recycled.
