Digital Pointillism-Inspired Homes

Mexico City-based design studio AS/D Asociación de Diseño partners, Fernando Velasco and Paola Morales, have recently built the Casa Alta, which literally means the tall or high house. It occupies a 1,500 square meter plot of land and is three storeys high. The house is located on an elevated slope with amazing, breathtaking views of the valley below and can be seen from the rooftop deck.

The lowest level of the house is the kitchen, dining room and the outdoor pool, the main floor is the living room and the third floor is a bedroom and a bathroom with a staircase connecting all the floors. The interior concept is fresh and clean with minimal color. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide a beautifully rich wallpaper as the greenery starkly contrasts with the neutral interior. The exterior of the house features an interesting design, taking inspiration from digital pointillism. Upon closer inspection, the exterior simply looks like a random pattern that doesn't make any sense, however, when seen from a distance, the facade is actually a digitized image of a tree!
