Daniel Sebastian Schaub Captures Various Zany Carnival Carousels

German photographer Daniel Sebastian Schaub recently shot a wide variety of carnival carousels in his image series titled 'Wondrous Whirligigs.' The series focuses on the outlandish aesthetic of several avant-garde looking carousels.

Schaub's pictures of merry-go-rounds really capture what going to a carnival is all about. The images are perfectly symmetrical as they capture the opulent color schemes and designs of various children's carousels. Each image showcases a neon carousel from a wide variety of different carnival. Some of the carousels are round and girly with rosy coloring and feminine decals. Others are more masculine with lightning bolt lights and superhero themes.

While all of the images in the series were taken during the day time, it would have been interesting to see these carousels lit up during the night.
