These Modular Auto Replicas are Made Entirely from Colored Paper

Talented artist Owen Gildersleeve recently teamed up with auto brand Nissan to create this detailed car installation that showcases the company's JUKE vehicles made entirely from paper. The artistic installations are beautifully modular replicating the JUKE car exactly to scale entirely out of cardboard.

Gildersleeve worked closely with Thomas Forsyth to create the JUKE replica since Forsyth is an expert model maker. The car was made entirely out of pieces of paper put together to form the geometric shape of various aspects of the car including the wheels, trunk, lights, hood, doors and windshield. In total the papercraft auto took longer than 200 hours to put together a model that was the same size and shape as the original. The project used a mixture of black, yellow and red sheets to create the car.
