'Captionbot' is the name of a new artificial intelligence bot from Microsoft that is capable of identifying the contents of an image and compiling a description of the full image based on all of its separate components. For instance, one of the sample images on the site features a photo of a baseball player. Once the photo is run through Captionbot, the AI bot determines: "I think it's a baseball player holding a bat on a field." After receiving a result, users are able to give the bot's description a star rating for accuracy.
Before the development of Captionbot, Microsoft launched the age-predicting How-Old.Net and the Fetch! app, which is capable of identifying a dog's breed.
