I can't help but feel a little unsettled when I see A Mask Project from Cansu Turan. Masked photo shoots seem to just have an inherent creepiness to them.
A Mask Project is a lot less menacing than most masked photo shoots. It is easier to focus on Cansu Turan's photography, regardless of how distracting the subjects may be. A lot of the times the masks tend to overshadow the skills of the photographer in a shoot like this.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more work from Cansu Turan.
