Layer Overhauls the Branding of Canadian Dog Brand Earth Rated

Canadian dog brand Earth Rated is well-known for its modern, pet-safe products—from the eco-friendly poo bags to its minimalist sustainable toys—and now, the company's image is enhanced with new canine-friendly branding.

Earth Rated tapped the design agency Layer for the project which lasted two years. An update to the product portfolio was also tackled during this time. Layer, for instance, designed natural rubber toys and poo bags made from recycled plastic to reduce waste and lower environmental impact. The goal was to offer stimulating and enjoyable play experiences for dogs while maintaining environmental consciousness. This also extended to the canine-friendly branding as Layer and Earth Rated used colors that dogs can see through the range—yellow, for example.
