These Cricket Protein Treats Can Be Enjoyed By Dogs As Well As Humans

Jiminy's has already established itself as one of the leading purveyors of dog foods and treats made from alternative proteins such as insects, but the company has taken things a step further by offering delectable peanut-flavored canine treats that are designed for dogs but are also delicious enough to be enjoyed by humans.

The 'Peanut Puffs' happen to boast the same ingredients as the highly popular 'Nooch Puffs,' with the primary difference being the inclusion of peanuts for a delectably nutty flavor, not to mention the infusion of banana for a delicate hint of fruity sweetness. Crafted with totally natural ingredients, these canine treats are low in calories.

Jiminy's founder and CEO Anne Carlson notes that the new 'Peanut Puffs' aren't merely made with a highly planet-friendly and novel source of protein in the form of crickets, but they're also comprised of 22 percent protein whilst offering less than two calories. Importantly for canine munchers, they're also pleasurable to eat. "Our new Peanut Puffs are so light that they float," said Carlson, adding that the company's collaborators at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute are using the 'Peanut Puffs' as treats in their training regimens for dogs.
