Cakeland is a World of Sweets Protected by Cake Dragons

Scott Hove, the artist behind Cakeland, has taken cake decorating to a serious extreme. According to his description, Cakeland is a refuge from the harsh realities of the world—a place where one can be surrounded by cake. And, in order to stay a safe place, Cakeland needs protection, hence the cake monsters.

Hove’s cake monsters are seriously disturbing. Cakes with teeth, fangs, glowing red eyes…not exactly part of the relaxing escape he described. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to eat these cake monsters. Cakeland is not edible, so the cake monsters are merely protecting the image of a world full of cakes.
