Communal Contemporary Bungalows

Cadaval & Solà-Morales Have Created a Communal Paradise

This exquisite bungalow appropriately named the Tepoztlan Lounge was created by Cadaval & Solà-Morales as the ultimate hang out spot.

The lounge was built with the intention of it being a communal residential area consisting of 15 bungalows in total, which features both private and shared spaces. Each of the homes were planned out according to specific activities. For example, there is a place for children to play, which includes a chalk board as well as an entertainment area. Some of its incredible features included in this contemporary home includes the spherical pool as well as a full sized tree, which the architects built the home around. The most integral aspect for architects Cadaval & Solà-Morales was that the space was one with nature and did not disrupt the natural environment surrounding it. Though the project hasn't been completely finished yet, they have already won the 2012 BIAU (Ibero-American Architecture Bienal) Prize for their incredible lounge.
