Comics to Promote Coffee

Burger King Joe

It seems that Burger King doesn’t want McDonald’s to have all the fun of putting Starbucks out of business by itself.

In this new ad campaign, Burger King promotes its coffee, Joe, with comic prints that bring a smile to your face.

The little cup of Joe is shown as a comic character that ensures your happy mornings by eliminating your headaches. This includes dumping a sumo wrestler on that annoying alarm clock, cutting a hole under the noisy neighbors so that they will fall into the mouth of a shark, and more hilarious scenarios.

The September 2008 campaign was done by Tonic Communications, Dubai, with Art Director / Illustrator Diya Ajit, creative director Vincent Raffray, and copywriter Kris Richardson.
