The Bullitt Center is a Highly Sustainable 'Living' Building

The Bullitt Center in Seattle is designed to be the world’s greenest commercial building. The center was completed earlier this year on Earth Day as part of the ‘Living Building Challenge.’ The challenge involves rigorous testing of the building over a 12-month period to ensure that it can run efficiently and sustainably.

In addition to the use of solar panels, greywater harvesting and the use of geothermal wells, The Bullitt Center has several other impressive features. The wood frame is designed to last over 250 years and 82% of the light for the Bullitt Center is provided by the sun.

This incredible building is a remarkable model for future commercial buildings, proving that self-sustaining, "living" buildings are high-performing, long-lasting structures that are worth the investment.
