Washington-based photographer Britta Hawkins must have had visions of Little House on the Prairie dancing in her head when she conceived of this C-Heads editorial starring Alysa Conger and Emma Bracy.
The girls were transformed to reflect the style of time's past, wearing big dresses and matching chignon braids (done by stylist Terryl Banta). The past is never the past when it comes to fashion, and it was only a matter of time before this romantic look of yore was recycled back to the forefront.
The girls engage in activities of a simpler time, one without cell phones, iPods and other modern-day armor. Instead, they cheerfully play with chalk, blow bubbles and frolic outside hand-in-hand. Overall, the editorial is charming, sickeningly sweet and may inspire you to take advantage of the summer in a whole new way.
