Laser-Triggered Photography Ads

This Bridgestone Commercial Doubles as an Event Documentary

This Bridgestone commercial tells the store of the Bridgestone Bike Booth in South Africa and is as much an advertisement as it is a mini-documentary chronicling the event.

The Bridgestone Bike Booth is a section of track on a bike racing course that is rigged with a laser and a camera. When each rider hits the jump in front of the Bike Booth, the laser picks hits their tire and triggers the camera to take several photographs of them in mid-air. The result is a plethora of wonderful action shots that also happen to be focused on the bike tires, which obviously serves Bridgestone's purpose.

This Bridgestone commercial is over three minutes long and is intended for online audiences only. A commercial this long wouldn't make sense on television, but online it can live a well-viewed life.
