Brian Eno Created a Psychedelic Turntable with LEDs

Brian Eno created a new limited-edition turntable. The artist unveiled his color-changing music player at London's Paul Stolper Gallery. Opting for a new experience of light, Eno's turntable is a blend of sound and vision, acting as a piece of art in its own right.

Only 50 color-changing turntables were made for this project. The former member of Roxy Music coined the term 'ambient music.' Eno took the term and created a visual representation of ambient music through an array of LED lights. His contemporary spin on the classic record player creates a psychedelic music-listening experience. At the device's unveiling, Eno described that the crowd "sat watching for ages, transfixed by this totally new experience of light as a physical presence."
