Waterproof-Breathable Outerwear

The North Face Will Release Its 'FUTURELIGHT' Line of Outdoor Gear

The North Face will launch a new line of 'FUTURELIGHT' breathable outerwear. The new line was created due to feedback from The North Face's Global Athlete Team, where a request was made for gear that is able to address changes in temperature which may occur throughout the course of a day. The FUTURELIGHT breathable outerwear line will be available on October 1st on the company's website, as well as at certain locations in Japan.

The materials used were created to be 20 times more breathable than the previous waterproof materials used by the company. The new breathability is due to nano-level holes in polyurethane fabric, which allows air to channel through the clothing. The gear in the collections will be available in orange, pink and black colors.
