Ultra Fast Roller Skates

Booster Blades

Booster Blades are tipped to become the commuters' weapon of choice in London. These are roller skates with a difference, ones that you pedal like a bike! Adding the chain mechanism to online skates means wearers could get up to speeds of 25mph.

There were invented by Bristol based Bryan Rawlings who claims less energy is needed although more speed is generated. So far only ten pairs of the skates (at £445 a pop) have been sold but they have appeared widely on TV and rumours are rife that they will appear on the next series of Dragon's Den (UK).
