The Boom Lamp happens to look like an oversized desk light. When viewed out of context, that is probably what many will believe it is (minus the oversized part). In reality, the Boom Lamp is a floor lamp that is perfect for all types of living spaces as well as offices.
Designed by Group Design, a North London-based studio founded by Richard Wells and Jeremy Schotte, the Boom Lamp boasts a simple aesthetic. From the melamine faced plywood stand and base to the wool felt shade, its minimalist nature is more of a boon than a bore. Practical on many levels, the height of the Boom Lamp is also adjustable. It can reach as high as six and a half feet tall and slide down as low as four feet.
