3Dcopysystems' ALICE Scanners Look at the Future of Personalized Apparel

Austria-based 3D scanning specialist 3Dcopysystems is making its debut in the United States following an appearance at FIT's Annual Awards Gala earlier this summer. At the event, 3Dcopysystems showed off its full-body 3D scanner BIG ALICE and now, LITTLE ALICE will be touring across the US.

The ALICE 3D systems have the ability to digitize large-scale organic objects within just a few milliseconds with 64 high-resolution cameras, each at a different angle. The finished capture results in a high-resolution texture map and a 3D model, which has applications in numerous industries.

Looking forward, 3Dcopysystems is developing a 4D scanning innovation that will allow movements to be realistically digitized, which has the potential to offer a look at the behaviors of fabric and the future of personalized apparel.
